Saddle River Cafe

Wow. This place is exactly what Saddle River needed. The small cafe leaves you wanting to call all your friends and plan for your next brunch. It is that good! As soon as you walk in, you are faced with options. They offer both a walk up counter to order your coffee, juice, or smoothies to go and a sit down restaurant style cafe. I recommend staying a while. The staff is very friendly and the overall atmosphere is very clean.

I first visited Saddle River Cafe last Sunday. When I arrived, the host asked for my name and my allergies. I think this is such a cool feature. Being gluten free and allergic to peanuts, I really appreciate when a restaurant goes out of their way to make accommodations.

I ordered a Nitro Cold Brew coffee and their I Love Hash with turkey. The food was very good and incredibly filling. The cafe uses Devocion coffee which offers a bold, strong flavor coffee that I really enjoy. The Nitro Cold Brew was no different. It had a great flavor and was so smooth.

While your order at Saddle River Cafe will come with a high price tag, their ability to make accommodations really makes it worth it. Because of the low affordability, I will not be making this a daily stop. $4 for a cup of drip coffee is a lot when compared to the $2 delicious coffee from The Fresh Market next to my work. I will definitely keep Saddle River Cafe in mind for special events and celebrations though. Maybe you will see me there for my next brunch with the girls?
